my teacher, Rev angel Kyodo williams, of Radical Dharma, notes that the when we speak the truth of now, it is often something that folks struggle to be open to.

She refers to such speech as prophetic praxis - speech that the status quo does not want spoken and aims to suppress. Speech that opens space, that disrupts collective numbness, dissociation, denial and gaslighting.

💚 We can use our voices in ways that help wake us all up

It is wise to move through denial

and immobilization;

it is crucial.

It is wise to notice where we are now

to accurately appraise the collective danger afoot

to join the conversation happening among folks who are willing to speak of reality without numbing down the accuracy of speech.

it is not alarmist; it is wisdom.

This is a time to root down

reach out

weave collaboratively through our biodiversity

all manner of threads that come from love

of Earth

of Life.

David Suzuki shared that we are now in the time of disaster, past the point of avoiding climate change catastrophes.

Clearly. Note the mass fires, the pervasive heat, and heat domes, the collapsing glacier in Nepal. This is destablization on a mass scale, friends.

Perhaps it feels like being on the titanic, heading for the ice berg, seeing the impending collision coming rapidly towards us, while the captain is saying 'go faster' except the modern version with gun fire and bombs erupting around us.

If large scale cascading disasters are inevitable now, as clearly that is where we are, I want a better disaster.

I want a better disaster than the catastrophic annihilation that is being pushed

upon us all

by those who are so deeply distorted

and disconnected from Life, who is Earth.

those who are so willing to evoke and wield mass scale violence and destruction to conjure what they desire.

If you feel battered psychically, psychologically, by the intentional sowing of violent havoc in the collective - that makes sense.

To be an upstander, rather than a bystander. In all manner of ways, subtle, small, daily, continually, as audaciously as I can imagine and co-conjure. This is a practice that nourishes and buoys and spreads seeds. How we tend the shoots and sturdy the roots, care for the soil, the air, the water.

To be in collaborative conversations, spark and kindle together in circles of beauty magic, and gather seeds from this collective time to bring along with us where we go To Share Them share the seeds you are carrying. Tend them into the flourishing, exuberant, rebellious authentic, sacred plant they want to become.

If this approach to the moment means I appear as one of the musicians on the Titanic, offering beautiful songs as the ship is sinking, that is a role I'll happily inhabit for all the loving that ripples from the gift of soulful music in times of catastrophe.

And we are always ephemeral.

My teacher Joanna Macy encouraged me to be a death doula and a midwife.

My teacher David Abram encouraged me to be the Bard who lives in my lineage and my bones, my voice, and my creative co-conjuring. I invite you into the Forest with me, with us.

Come be with All Beings, sit in a circle of All Our Relations, as I was taught my by teacher Fyre Jean Graveline of LIFE as Medicine: Circle of Indigenous Healing Arts. Come gather with those who long for a different way and are present with the tending.

꩜ Relational Ecology Collaboration Methodology ꩜

Improvisation is a wise approach in unpredictable and dangerous times.

This is a cauldron for deepening Sensitivity, Nuance, and Wisdom, in Embodied Leadership and Improvisational Creative Group Facilitation.

You might call this Decolonial Ecological Neurodivergent Queer Feminist Liberation Praxis for all beings through creative play resting with the Tao. You might call this Earth Being Beauty Magic. Or a cozy and soft feathered nest filled with creative inspiration through biodiversity for the dark time of the year into spring - from Equinox to Beltane. You might call this rest. You might call this hydration.

If you feel an inner resonant response to this call, perhaps this voyage is for you.

Or, come to Body As Earth Song retreat at Stowel Lake Farm on Salt Spring Island, June 10-15, 2027

Cohort two of The School of Play begins around the Equinox in 2027
